I've always loved Verbano's. You can't beat the house bread and the house salad is delicious. Try the stuffed eggplant!
Avoid...veal was room temperature. Marsala had no lemon. Waiter added tip to our bill. Buyer beware.
Try out the Chicken Marsala or Parmesan!
horrible experience!! – My husband and I were surprised when we looked at the menu. Prices were high, portions were VERY small, the food tasted as though it was from the frozen section at the grocery store. We left still hungry. Waitress was not at all friendly. We left feeling cheated.
Nicer Italian Restaurant Verbano Italiano on Waialae is a nice little Italian restaurant. It's nicer and a little more formal than, say, Bucca de Beppo, and not as kid-friendly. Good place for a parents' "date night" if you don't want to brave Waikiki but still be in town. Food is decent and reasonably priced. Also check the Entertainment book for a BOGO on the card -- that's what we used. :) Dining here was a nice experience.
a terrible experience – Ate there last night with my family. 3 out of 5 of us HATED our food: caesar salad - horrible dressing - tasted like olive oil with Parmesan dumped in it. Sausage dish - pasta soggy, sausage dry and hard, greasy. Chicken Picata - oily and just not good, again pasted soggy. Steak with vegetables - greasy greasy greasy. Nice local Italian place. A little high price. Food is tasty and fresh. Service is good and staff friendly. Parking is the only drawback and it is terrible to find a parking spot anytime either during the week or on the weekend.
Neighborhood Italian Atmosphere – Our neighborhood favorite for Italian cuisine. Come in the back door. It's friendlier that way and there's parking out back.
