During our one-year stay at Verandas, we had a very pleasant experience. From the initial tour to the application process and move-in, everything went very smoothly. It’s true that all communication with management is strictly online, and sometimes it was a bit difficult to get phone calls to go through without going to voicemail. Had a visit to Verandas last Saturday. Good. community and great support from Adams. Though we was offsite he helped us remotely in getting the vacant units doors unlocked and walking us through the vacancies.
Management is very rude. Once i decided to move out, I called a couple of times to ask a question and their answers were extremely rude every time as if they were bothered by the call. Car got broken into even though it was ‘gated’. My packages were stolen 3 times and when you ask management they say it is not their responsibility. Bathroom has mold due to no ventilation and when I asked about it when I moved in the maintenance team said they would fix it and never heard from them on that issue again.
Never lived at this property but I have lived at another essex "managed" property. Stay away!!! Essex does not have onsite leasing or management. It's all remote, so it's a pain to communicate with them. They hardly ever answer calls or respond to emails. They list units that might not actually be available and try to keep your money if you don't accept one of the other units that they have available. They try to fill their own pockets so they hire the worst vendors to do repairs which in the long run they're probably wastin... read more
