The best part of this complex is the gym and even then it's a mess. People do not clean up after themselves. I complaint multiple times about a man blowing snot rockets on other equipment and nothing was done. If you want a view of homeless on drugs right outside the gates from your patio this is the place for you. Management is NOT on property and if you need anything it will take 48 hours if they do respond otherwise you're on your own. I have lived here over a year. It is a very nice apartment compared to others. Their maintenance team works very well as well. Service requests will be responded to. I don’t appreciate how apartment complex’s pool data together to squeeze out as much rent as possible from tenants and I would probably apply that to Essex which owns Verandas. It is right next to a Safeway and BART.

Since we moved to the new apartment, we have had a great experience. Maintenance people are on top of our requests and they already came to fix several things in a matter of a few days. Sometimes they will just stop by the same day. Aman was also a key rockstar to troubleshoot our drier and since then we are enjoying our laundry room. The complex is clean and in general very calm. We hope to stay here as much as possible and as long as safety and professionalism is the golden rule of Verandas
