I had the unfortunate occurrence of an ex and abuser who was harassing/threatening me, I had never dealt with this before and was recommended to come here with help getting a restraining order. The center was very helpful, and simplified the process and supported me with no prior knowledge of how to go about this process. They said that they would assist me with my case and gave me wrong information about evidence and witnesses. They told me that I needed to bring my evidence and witnesses to court. When I got to court they said I was supposed to file my evidence prior to the court case. The judge was not able to view my evidence because it was not filed which led to me losing my case. This place caused so much trauma for my daughter and me that even the nurses called the abuse inconclusive. They don't care about your children. It's a horrible place; the investigators don't do their job. As a mother, I trusted these investigators to protect my daughter, but they did nothing. I don't do drugs or party; I'm just a mother working to provide for my family and working with the elderly and people with disabilities.
