Huge waste of my time. I confirmed that doctor Rao had to see me in person. I made this appt in advance even. We left a funeral early because that's how significant this pain is for me, for him to lightly graze my leg and say this will resolve on its own and spent less then ten minutes with me. If you are looking for a surgeon that will get the job done, not listen to a word you say, treat you as medication seeking despite if you are or not, land you in the ER several times and generally treat you like fodder instead of a human ,then I recommend Dr.RAO. I thought the reviews about his bedside manner didn't matter, which honestly I don't need a surgeon to be nice or friendly, I just need them to be good at surgery. My stepdaughter was referred to Dr Rao by her PCP, as she has signifucant chafingI from the results of her losing weight. She has gone from 400lbs to 255lbs. I went to an initial consultation with Dr Rao. We talked with his female resident first who went through my step daughter's history and what her issue was now. She did a thorough examination and told us our options and told us we could meet with the scheduler before we left. I traveled five hours on a gurney to see Rao, he never took me off the gurney or looked at my legs lipoma. He walked in the room, looked at me, touched my leg for a second, and shook his head no. Disgusting excuse of medical practice and I certainly would not address him as Dr. A doctor actually looks at the patient, talks with them not at them, and at least pretends to examine what the patient is there for. Rao is way past retiring, if indeed he should have ever been practicing to begin with.
