I can't even begin to tell you how talented Michelle is. She a fantastic artist. She is caring and smart and truly want s her customers to be happy. This is as yet another fantastic experience at the Velvet Lotus. She cares about her customers and she cares that they enjoy the art she is putting on their bodies number one in my books

This is the best tattoo parlor I have ever been to. Everything was clean and sanitary. The sign in process was very professionally set up and user friendly. But the best part of all was the fantastic work done by the owner Michelle Balhan. I can't wait for my next one!
I can't wait for Michelle to add to my arm project. Her eye for symmetry and detail combined with excellent line work and mechanics are a beautiful mix of reasons to offer her my appendages for decoration. Her creative spirit and artistic skill are more than skin-worthy. As a bonus, the shop is tidy and clean with a very chill ambiance and she's a joy to communicate with. I highly recommend, even if you're a drive from Iowa City!
Michelle is an amazing artist. She took my jumble of ideas and made the even more beautiful than I could imagine. I can't wait to add to my sleeve. She also took a mess that my daughter got at a different shop and not only fixed it but added some perfect touches. I'll never go anywhere else. She then did a half sleeve on my bf that couldn't have been better. She's the bees knees
