We just love Dr. Velosa. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced. He has truly helped our daughter, I can't recommend him highly enough. He does get WAY behind in his appointments, so bring a book or have your phone fully charged, but this is only because he spends extra time with patients and will do the same for you. He is truly excellent and he truly cares.
Dr. Velosa is an excellent doctor, and has been a wonderful resource for our daughter: kind, practical, calming, and realistic and experienced. He often runs late, but that's because he actually spends as much time as each person needs with them. As a parent, I've appreciated his discretion and tact while treating my college-aged daughter and still keeping me in the loop. I highly recommend him.
Like others have mentioned, you do have to be patient waiting to see Dr. Velosa but the trade off is that he doesn't rush you through the visit. He takes his time and seems to genuinely care about his patients, as opposed to just writing a prescription and sending you on his way.
Very pleased with Dr. Velosa's treatment for our teenage daughter. He takes his time, is very thorough with questions. After seeing some other pediatric psychiatrists in the area we are very happy to have found Dr. Velosa. He does run late alot which is frustrating however the trade-off is that he spends quality time with my daughter and us and he knows his stuff. Highly recommend.
Dr. Velosa is very caring and knowledgeable.We have trusted him with several children for many years. He listens to parents concerns and tries to help kids understand their conditions and why they need medication. His staff is very friendly. You do have to be patient waiting to see him and to get an appointment.
Dr. Velosa is great. His admin staff is not and he doesn't accept BCBS as stated by Healthgrades so this review averages to 3-stars. Dr. Velosa by himself is 5-stars. This office also cannot support e-script to pharmacies like Greystone Pharmacy for any class-c substance so you have to take a paper script (even refills) every time even though the pharmacy (and the law) is willing to accept e-script program.
