The inspection was underwhelming to say the least. He didn't know anything about the home after spending hours there. Even simple questions like how old the furnace was, he responded "no idea." He kept saying that over and over. He didn't even know if there were carbon monoxide detectors in the home. I did most the inspection work myself when we were there and he stood and watched. Can't thank Steve and his wife enough. We were looking to purchase a house and had them do our inspection prior to closing. There were numerous things found that we hadn't or couldn't see ourselves. We tried to use the information to negotiate with the sellers and ultimately it fell through. Thanks to their thoroughness we really dodged a bullet!! Would happily use them again and would recommend them to anyone in the area!
Very unhappy with his methods of sampling water for tests. It seemed like he was trying to get more money out of us. We got failed tests through him and got a second and third opinion and we passed both times. I do not have experience with his home inspection. Just water testing.
-100 Did not do a thorough job! He missed a lot of things, and in the end, all he could say was, "Here's your refund. He took absolutely No responsibility for doing a very, very poor job!" Had he done his job, it definitely would have made a difference in the purchasing of the house.
I HIGHLY recommend going with VEES home inspections. Steve answered the phone right away, and was so friendly and upbeat. He was able to accomodate our very short inspection window we had on a house we put an offer on. During the walkthrough we got to also meet his wife Donna, who is also very friendly. Steve and Donna both were very diligent during this inspection and explained everything so we could understand. They helped us dodge a huge bullet! Will definitely be using them again!! 10/10!!!
