I should say at the outset that, due to poor health over the course of my life, I have seen more physicians—across many different specialties—than I can remember. These experiences have given me at least some basis for evaluating medical practitioners. I wish I could give Dr. Vedantham ten stars. I’ve been seeing Dr. Vedantham for over 5 years now and I’ve feel grateful to have found a psychiatrist that is as responsive and receptive as Dr. V. Talking with my friends and their experiences with their psychiatrists, I did not realize how rare finding one who is as open and receptive to patient feedback as Dr. V can be. When I experienced a few side effects to my medication, he went over the many options we could take and was supportive and understanding when I chose the option with the fewest side effects. This psychiatrist did nothing but play games! Trying to get me to pay him even though he had lied about the prescriptions he sent! He prescribed me an anti anxiety medication and the second he found out I was on Suboxone he pulled the prescriptions! I told him it was for pain I have never dealt with opiates! But he obviously didn't believe me and pulled my prescription, then lied about sending it just so he could get paid! He clearly cares more about money than the well beinhy of his patients! I started seeing Dr. Vedantham in early 2020. At the time, I was struggling with depression and anxiety, which he diagnosed very quickly, and prescribed medications that helped me become a better version of myself. He takes a careful approach to psychiatry, allowing some time to pass before drawing conclusions about the effectiveness of treatment.
