We were referred to VCU Pediatric Dentistry because our child’s medical history requires procedures to be done with appropriate safety measures—at minimum, sedation. During the initial consultation, this was discussed and acknowledged by the consulting doctor. However, the recommendations that followed were not aligned with the referral request and fell outside the safety parameters that should be in place given our child’s medical history.
