I'm giving two stars (otherwise I'd give one star) because my experience wasn't ALL horrible, and I'd like to give credit where it is due. I came here for the reproductive specialty with Dr. Cortez. I brought my 15-year-old diabetic dog, Bello, to this VCA ER around 9 PM because he was weak, trembling, extremely thirsty, and not eating. I was the only client there, yet we were immediately separated and he was kept in a kennel for hours. I repeatedly asked the front desk to please make sure he at least had water, and was told nothing could be done without doctor authorization. I brought my cat here for a wellness exam on Monday. We were the last patient of Dr. Denison on Monday evening. She failed to do a temperature check because I had mentioned that I didn't like seeing it be inserted (my fiance was present so he would've stayed while I stepped out for a few seconds) but she was telling me she didn't have to check it and there's no reason for it during wellness exams. she failed to check my cats weight as well and instantly took her back for vaccines.
