We've been bringing our long string of pets to VCA Madera Pet Hospital since January 1975 when our Afghan Hound broke both bones in his front leg because his playmate, our other Afghan Hound rear-ended him and his leg slipped through the stairs on our deck and snapped. That was a pretty horrible experience to deal with right then and our vet at the time wasn't up to the task and he sent us to Jerry Reinke over at Madera. A couple of weeks ago, we brought our dachshaund, Lily, to Dr. Giampaoli as we were traveling through the area and she needed emergency treatment. After a few harrowing days, Lily has made a great recovery and she is back to her old self again! Dr. Kim Casey is a treasure VCA Madera should never let go of. I wont go into detail as she surely doesn't need additional pressure (She's probably under enough already) but Dr. Casey goes far beyond the norm to help my extremely nervous dog during our visits. I just wanted to say how thankful we are to Dr. Farnell for being the best doctor to our dog. Argos has had mast cell tumors removed under Dr. Farnell's watch. We had numerous cytology samples taken whenever I would find a "bump" (in most cases it was just an allergy pimples), and still Dr. Farnell was so patient and so attentive to me and my husband and our dog.
