Please. Do not take your pet here. They do not know wha they are doing. My dog was healthy and getting better but and kept cutting her open and finding excuses to guilt trip us into thinking something was worse. They took x rays and ultrasounds and told us they kept needing to cut her open (CLEARLY don’t know what they are doing or looking for) and charging us thousands of $$ worth of medicine (which we never even got the chance to give our dog). I brought my 7‑month‑old kitten to VCA Canada Alta Vista Specialty and Emergency Veterinary Centre at 1:30 pm and was not contacted with an update until 9 am the following morning. The bill was $615, and I was informed that American Express was not accepted. When arranging payment in cash, one staff member was insistent about exact change, while another staff member was courteous and assisted me by providing change. I drove my friend with his dog to get shots.We were stuck in traffic and my friend phoned and said we be 10 minutes late for the appointment. The woman answering the phone said no problem and said see him when he get here. We arrived to the vet and the front desk woman said have to rebook. My friend took time off work for the vet appointment and the woman at the front desk was so rude in her manners and not to understanding at all.
