This review is for the URGENT CARE SIDE. It’s long but I think every review is valuable. The one star is for the amazing receptionist who checked me in. I took in my 3.5lb chihuahua for lethargy and general malaise. She’s about 13, and I did think I might have to put her down that day. Pet owners beware of Southgate Animal Hospital, my fur babies were all patients of this hospital for well over 15 years, and once I bought a misdiagnoses of my pet to light I was told to take my pets elsewhere. They had no problem with discarding us as patients, this is even though the proof of misdiagnosis was written and well documented by their sister hospital. I lost 2 pets under the doctors watch, all of which could have most likely been avoided if proper diagnosis was given or even proper testing at least. My doxie was... read more
I called to see if I could make an appointment or potentially get a prescription for my cat without an appointment because I am in the process of moving. When I called I was on hold for 30mins before getting hung up on, I called back again just to be hung up on again. On the third call Shirley answered the phone and right away was combative and not very understanding. If I could leave zero stars I would! Stay away from Vca Douglas County Animal Hospital! 531 Jerry Street, Castle Rock, CO They intentionally let our English bulldog die. On Sunday June 4th our dog fell and we immediately called our vet Lisa Sanborn and all we got was a recording telling us to go to a particular hospital, we couldn't even leave a message. We rushed our English bulldog into the vet hospital because she was very ill. The Vet hospital said we had to go thru our primary care to have certain tests done. When we t... read more

Sad I have to stop using VCA as their tactics have become dishonorable, in my opinion and failing to provide all payment details after booking an appointment. Be careful and get all appointment details before going to VCA…. I do love Dr. Pesavento
This chain of a vet in Castle Rock is about as rude as they come. Because they handle "emergency cases" every time you call for an appointment they want to make it an emergency appointment to charge you more. I just had the receptionist speak so condescending to me as I stated more than 3 times it was not an emergency and that next week would be fine.
