Me and my partner have been coming here for a few years now and we adore this little place. The food and drinks are delicious, but we love the employees there. They do their best despite being without any real management the last few years. The staff do their best to make the experience as enjoyable as they possibly can with the resources they’re given. Food is outstanding as is the decor. Service can be spotty depending if the restaurant is fully staffed or not. The wait to get your food can be lengthy at times. However, this restaurant is one of the best in Albany.
Absolutely inexcusable. We made Valentine’s Day reservations for 7:30 p.m. on January 10—over five weeks in advance—and even confirmed the day before. Then at 7:20 p.m. on Valentine’s night, while we were driving there, we got a call saying they were canceling our reservation because of a “kitchen issue” and they didn’t have a place to seat us. I strongly recommend reading the most recent reviews before visiting Vault 244 to see if anything has been addressed by the owners or management, or shown signs of improvement, I wish I had. My wife and I arrived late on Valentine’s Day evening, around 9pm, just to see if there was any seating available as we’d been wanting to check this place out.
