DO NOT USE VAUGHN REALTY! We moved out here a year and a half ago and needed a place to rent. I went to Vaughn Realty to inquire about a house I found, they gave me the keys to go look at it myself and when I did a walk through and asked them about doing repairs such as holes in the wall (big ones) and repainting due to all the other patched disasters they told me that if it wasn't a safety or security issue then they won't do anything about it. Avoid Vaughn Realty. I moved to Ridgecrest the day before my job was to start. I was told by the rental manager, Kim Alexander, that I could move in on a Sunday but when I arrived with a truck full of furniture, the office was closed. I was able to get in contact with someone who happened to be cleaning the office that day, who contacted Kim. Kim then claimed to have no idea what I was talking about. My wife and I were moving from Va to Ca, and charged a credit check fee of $15 each by Vaughn Realty for a house we had chosen, and we provided all forms and information required. We were told (before the fee was charged) that everything was on track and looking good, they were just awaiting verification of employment, which we provided. Within days of receiving our payment, we called back and were told that they "didn't feel good about it" because we were not in town.
