Great doctors are to find, I am so glad we found Dr. Varela. As a new mom, just given birth-caesarian we would stay 3 days inpatient. On the first day I noticed my son kept periodically shaking the Dr. on call said it will pass your just a new mom worrying "no need to worry." Second day still shaking 2nd Dr. on call states "he seems fine, just make a follow up appt if it continues." Now on our last day Dr. Varela came to see us, I gave him my concerns... he quickly addressed them ordering labs and yes my baby calcium levels ... read more
Dr. Varela has been pediatrician to my three children for over 17 years. I can honestly say he is an excellent doctor; he takes his time examining all of his patients and is a very good listener. Though the waiting time is pretty lengthy, I've always considered it worth the while knowing that the same love and care and patience he shows to my children is how he treats all of his kids; his dedication and kind persona is what will always make him a great physician.
18 yrs ago Dr.Varela saved my sons life!!...and because of him he is graduating this yr!!..My son had RSV back then there was no cure for it ...he did everything possible to help him ..one night he comes in telling us the bad news that my son wasn't gonna make it that he did everything medically possible to pray to God to help and we did that night and come the morning ...my son was wide awake and the Dr was shocked!!..it still brings me to tears!..He really loves his patients !!..:)
He is friendly and a good listener. He takes his time with my baby. He is always on time.
