On June 6th 2016 I went to check in at the Northwood Ohio Americas Best value Inn.I booked my room online and I asked for a jacuzzi room. When I got to the hotel I was told all jacuzzi rooms are on the second floor with NO elevator! My dad who was traveling with me has had both of his legs amputated. I was never offered any other room or anyway to solve this problem other then him crawling up 13 stairs. So he did that! I would not recommend this hotel chain to my dog. We stayed at one locally and the front desk clerk intentionally gave our room with a king bed away while we were away from the hotel. Due to the activities in the area, there were no other places to stay so we had no choice but to stay in a room w/ a queen bed. Vantage Hospitality grp doesn't agree that we should get a refund of that night that we were screwed over by the property mgr. because we still used a room/facility. WORST hotel chain EVER ...
Staff and company culture
Stayed at one of their America's Best Value Inn. It was the most disgustingly filthy hotel I've ever seen. The bed had food particles and crumbs all over it, the shower had soap scum so thick people had written their names in it. I checked in too late to change that evening, but went in search early the next morning for somewhere I could shower and come out cleaner than when I went in.
