RecommendedVan’s meat processing is great!! Yearly, I drive from Ohio to Mississippi to hunt on my family property and within the same week my meat is processed and I am on my way back to Ohio until the next year. I have done this every year for the last 5 years. The meat processing department is great and Billy takes it to another level. Thank you sir for your kindness and helping me this year. I must get my meat processed at Van’s!!!! I will see you at the end of the year with the same old hurry up; my time is limited. The best!!!
U can’t go wrong with Van’s
I had to ship a gun to another FFL. I was told by the woman at Vans they were required by law to use 2 day air for handguns. The total was $104!! Then I had to pay a $35 transfer fee. After calling 5 different FFLs accross MS, I realized this was absolutely UNTRUE. FFLs are NOT required to send handguns via 2 day air. I got my gun back from Vans before it was shipped (but was not refunded the transfer fee), and took it to another FFL. They charged me $55 for the shipping, transfer fee, and insurance. I have known Van before he had his sporting goods store. He was humble and appreciated your business. Van is now very wealthy and does not need your business. He can allow and support his rude and discourteous employees with no consequences. He has many more customers that will shop his stores. Do not believe Van’s hype on God, country and freedom. Have driven 2.5 hrs to have meat processed there for the last three years. 10 minutes away from site, msg is posted that they're not taking meat anymore. No, "we are getting close to capacity", Today is the last day we can take meat", just not taking it anymore. Lesson learned........
I was at vans on dec.14 2020. When a salesman finally ask what did I need, I told him I wanted to look at a rifle and described it to him.(one like my son has) and he told me I might find one in plastic. I ask about some ammo and he says, it’s over there, then turned and walked away. For now on my parking place will be available because I’m no idiot and will not be treated like one. I do not work at Van’s and thought they had good customer service. I was proven wrong. My 600.00 will be spent somewhere else.

Called yesterday about a gun part. Salesman stated he had what I needed and even gave me a price. Wife drive 70 miles today to pick it up and was told they have never carried it. Incompetent sales and poor service. I’ll never darken their doors again. No help at all and didn’t care
Guy in the gun dept was very racist. He made sure he told us that they were out of shot gun bullets and when he get more bullets in he’s going to load up on them and he’s not gonna use them for deer either.
