Love this Place! I began as a faithful Vanis client when my family & I moved here from Chicago. I thought the city was the only place i could get the results that I wanted-modern & trendy. I'm not sure where some of these comments come from because my entire family goes to all 3 of the locations. We love the Valparaiso location. the staff is always so helpful & knowledgable. Blind sided. Over rated stuffy and High Priced. The stylist do what they want without asking then you find out at check out what you have to pay. And dont send in your teen age child in by themselves - you will be charged a fortune for each service you receive - taking advantage is what I call it. Ask up front what you will be charged then you can decide if its a wash, cut blow dry ONLY or if you can afford another charge for them to use a flat iron. Not a Fan anymore I use to love it. My regular stylist left so I tried several others but was never happy. Then the prices skyrockted. Over $200 for a cut and hilight! Have only used them for eyebrow waxing since.
Vanis Salon & Day Spa is AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME!! This place is sooooooo great!! Just ask for Maddie, she's the best. From the minute you walk in here they make you feel like a princess. Also they do an awesome job and they use the best hair products.
Great stylist I have been going to Vanis in Valpo for two years. They by far do the best highlights that I have ever had done, and the two stylists that I go to do great cuts as well. It is a bit hectic, and sometimes you feel rushed, but I go because the results are worth it. It is expensive, but I plan ahead for it, so it doesn't hurt as bad. I will keep going for great results!
Vanis Franchise disappointing We live in Hobart and Vanis was referred to us by a neighborhood friend. I guess she had a better time (obviously), because we went to two of the three (the Schererville and the Valpo ones). Who would want to make #3 in Crown Point the charm? Noisy, crowded, overpriced - not to mention the staff seemed to think they were the bosses! Isn't the customer always right? I felt rushed and my grandmother complained of rough treatment by the hair stylist.
ALWAYS satisfied!!! Fun mood-up to date looks My family & I have Moved here from Chicago about 8 years ago. We have been faithful clients (along w/ many friends) ever since day 1!!! They always know just what to do to keep us all in fashion & up to date. We wouldn't dare go anywhere else-& before we found them- we tried, it was NOT good! They are by far the TOP salon In NWI. bad customer service I had been going to Vanis for at least 5 years, had been happy with their service until I could not get in to see my regular stylist. The stylist they set me up with could not have been more rude! She treated me as if I should not tell her what I wanted done with my hair," we don't talk levels with you people" was her quote. Friendly staff, but high prices Vanis Salon is a great salon that offer expert hair stylists as well as spa services. Their packages for spa services are expensive and their beauty products and hair cuts are expensive as well. The staff is friendly and there are always alot of people in the salon. The busiest day is of course Saturday and it is difficult to get attention on that day. The stylists are usually booked, so my stylist seemed to rush through my haircut to get to the next person.
