they took out mold from our bathroom ceiling and part of the wall behind the shower. the whole area had gotten pretty bad over time and i kept putting off dealing with it. CCR handled the removal and it looks clean now, no discoloration or anything left behind. they also checked the adjacent closet since moisture had been spreading that direction. dried everything out and treated the surfaces. bathroom actually looks normal again which is kind of wild considering how bad it was
Our bathroom fan hadn't been venting properly for a while and moisture had been building up in the ceiling. By the time I noticed dark spots forming along the edge of the drywall it was already spreading. CCR did an inspection and confirmed mold in the ceiling and into part of the wall cavity. They removed everything that was affected and treated the area to make sure it wouldn't come back. The whole thing was done in about a day, which surprised me. Our place looks like nothing ever happened up there now.
Ended up using CCR after getting a few different opinions on a mold situation in our crawl space. They were the most direct about what actually needed to be done versus what was optional. The crew that came out was efficient and didn't drag the job out longer than necessary. It's been about three weeks since they finished and everything still looks and smells clean down there. A lot of companies doing mold work in Chicago seem to overcomplicate things, but these guys just handled it and moved on.
