Sheer incompetency. Of course 1g of depakote a day will cause migraines. A brain scan Dana wanted was a waste of money. Scammed me, pretending to be a therapist. The Vanderkooi man never once looked me in the eye even. Dana has no real education in bipolar clearly. She put me on a pill that killed my entire college career after another like it years before killed THAT college career. Why she touches medicine, I cannot understand for the life of me.
I called in this morning to make a new patient appointment and in the end it got scheduled but I will be calling back today or tomorrow to cancel it. I just had a super bad experience with my previous office and was excited to get into a new place. My dad saw the doctor at his previous practice with great success about 3 years ago but has since moved from the area, so I am now able to avoid any conflict of interest that I was told was the problem before. Dr. Vander Kooi has been my doctor for Opioid withdrawal for a few years now... and he is a very compassionate and caring provider. He doesnt have to converse or listen if he doesnt want to, but he does and he asks you about things in the next session. He is understanding and helpful. Flexible when he knows you need legitimate help in a situation that may not be convenient for him. Great Doctor and office staff..They always willing to work around my schedule and switch appointment when needed. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
They actually listened instead of just rushing me out the door. They gave me options for different treatment and took my opinions into consideration. I felt involved instead of just a patient in line.
