VUMC orthopedics outsources patient disability and FMLA paperwork to MediCopy and takes no responsibility for the integrity of the patient record information. After 3 months of trying to get a simple 2 page form fully filled out for private disability insurance, my claim was denied and I lost my job. I made at least 10 phone calls to try to get help from this office( nurse, office manager, doctor) no one from VUMC would return my call. Now I’m calling attorneys.
I came 10 minutes early for an 8:15 appointment and waited over an hour with no explanation. When I finally inquired about it I received no explanation or estimate on how much longer I would have to wait. So, I regretfully left.

Dr. Gene Hannah is amazing. I had horrible 9/10 sacroilitis pain this past fall which everyone (including my midwife/NP) didn’t want to do anything about because I was also pregnant. Most oral medications were off the table. I was scared and in pain. Dr. Hannah took care of me m and made sure I got treated with a joint injection which helped soooooo much and gave me my life back. They billed $490 for their mistake!!Scheduling lied and told me they were booking a surgery consult, and instead booked a Dr visit. The Dr acknowledged it was pointless. Their greed won'tt allow them to refund me even after scheduling admitted they messed up, and even patient relations pulled the call log and admitted they messed up. They still refuse to refund me for their mistake or apologize for wasting my time when I was in a very time sensitive situation. The greed of not refunding the visit cost is disgusting.
