I received midwifery care with Melrose after multiple suggestions saying that they were a good medium between the birth center and more medicalized birth groups within VUMC. I truly feel that this practice of midwives fully support and will cheer on whatever kind of birth you are hoping for. My experience with this group was a phenomenal one! La peor experiencia de mi vida estar con este grupo de personas. me ha traumado su mal trato y la horrible experiencia que nos hicieron pasar a mi, mi esposo y mi familia. No lo recomiendo para nada!!! Hubo solamente dos personas decentes durante todo este evento traumático pero nada más, desde las recepcionistas hasta las doctoras . I was transferred into the Vanderbilt Melrose Midwives’ care during labor from the birth center, so I can only speak to my labor experience and not prenatal care. However, there were some parts of my experience that were concerning that I wanted to address. First of all, during labor I was advised by one midwife to consent to an IUPC. When she left the room, another nurse midwife told me that she “didn’t know why she would recommend that” and advised against it.
