Many colleges with an psychology program offer free or low cost mental health services and that's what I was looking for. Vanderbilt came up on a list via internet search for free/low cost services. Called twice. Not rude (which prompted the second attempt) but first time intentionally unhelpful; second time I was told they only help students and the speakers tone became disinterested when I said I wasn't a student. Still very depressed and haven't found any help that I can afford.
