Went to the Vanderbilt children's ER in hopes of finding help for my daughter who is having explosive behavior hurting others, destruction of property, aggression, and has become non-compliant with going to doctor's appointments in school her mental health is failing I was told by a few different providers that she does me criteria to be admitted. Impossible to use their care when they won't accept referrals unless it's from an internal provider from their own hospital. But yet they are my insurance list and listed as taking new patients. How is the community supposed to use the great Vanderbilt if they are so selective on the referrals they accept?
We really loved them. My daughter did have another attempt recently and our paperwork kind of fell through the cracks this time we tried to admit her back to them. It was frustrating, but only because she wanted to go back there because she knew she was safe there.
Zero stars is the appropriate rating. We took our daughter to see him for ADHD testing / evaluation and to see if she could possibly be on the autism spectrum. What a complete waste of time. It took months to get it. We completed a ton of paperwork. We had her teachers fill out questionnaires they had given us. Even my daughter filled one out.
