Crazy long waiting at arrivals, this is the biggest problem at Vancouver airport. Waited over 1.5 hours to get pass it and found no suitcases .

US flight after 8:30pm? You depart out of the International Terminal and will go through customs upon arrival in the US.

I've been to many airports around the world, yet YVR always comes out on top in terms of a clean, organized and comfortable airport. There's free WIFI, outlets for charging, decent shopping & food.
Make sure you eat before you go through security...many more choices!
Flying late night at 12mn. Inefficient baggage checking, lines are extremely long and slow moving. And its hot!
The domestic, US (E gates), and domestic arrivals all have spas so you can get a massage to kill airport time. International does not. :(
