2 Stars because she and staff are friendly, appts start on time, office and exam rooms are clean. 1 Star because my initial surgery went fine initially but after a month I had complications and had to have Dr. Vanamburg "fix" a new issue that cropped up at the surgical site. 2 years later I am worse off than I was before with on-going issues that, I believe, would not be present had a gone to a more skilled surgeon. I really appreciated Jana’s candor and her repore with me it was a delicate subject and she made me comfortable. Gave me options and was very open.
Went to see her as an OHP patient, need a hernia surgery real bad. They tried to convince me to file workmans comp, i chose not to because OHP covered it and i couldnt prove it was work related. The day of surgery I was told it was cancelled because OHP didnt cover it. OHP does cover hernia surgery. Workmans comp pays more. If you want a surgeon that doesnt care, look no further.
Dr. Vanamburg and her entire staff treated me like family. My surgeries went great, and healing time was quick. I have had numerous Dr.'s and nurses compliment on how little swelling and how beautiful the surgical sites looked. I have always had a fear of Dr.'s and I can say without hesitation, I trust Dr. Vanamburg with my life. She truly is in a league of her own. I highly recommend her and her team.
