Van Dyks is a Bergen County staple! I've been enjoying their homemade ice cream since I was a little girl in the early 1980s! They always have a long line... But it's worth it! They always have lots of different flavors and are wonderful w service.
It's ok ice cream. Definitely not better than anything I've ever had at Carvel or Baskin Robbins.
First time there after hearing so much about it from friends in the area. There was a long line but, the servers were quick and polite and kept it moving quickly. The pumpkin ice cream was absolutely heavenly and I brought home some Black Raspberry, my favorite flavor, for later but, I did taste it and it too was amazing. I am in love with an ice cream shop!
