I can’t say enough good things about this facility, especially the Physical and Occupational Therapy department. From the moment you walk in, you can tell the staff genuinely cares about their patients. The therapists are not only highly skilled but also compassionate and encouraging, making every session productive and motivating. If you’re looking for a place where your loved one will be supported, respected, and given the best chance at recovery, this is the place.
My aunt was only at Family of Caring Healthcare at Ridgewood for a short time after we were told that she did not qualify for inpatient hospital hospice and we had to move her during her final days. We were fortunate that Family of Caring was willing to take her in during this difficult time and provide her with comfort care. I will not comment on the care in this NURSING HOME, However I will share that this NURSING HOME IS FILTHY!!! I go everyday to see my mother her room smells horrible, the floors are and have been sticky for weeks and her bathroom NEEDS ATTENTION LIKE YESTERDAY!!! THE BED RAILS HAVEN'T BEEN CLEANED IN WHILE. I guess I could go on and on but I'm sure you get the point. I do realize that the rehab center rates are 5 stars across the board, BUT MOTHER ISN'T IN REHAB UNFORTUNATELY! P.S. The food is horrible!!!
This facility committed a horrible injustice to my 88 yr old father by removing the wound vac from his back that they were instructed to manage when he transitioned from Holy Name Hospital to their facility.The wound care doctor removed the wound vac without consulting me or my father’s ordering physicians. Dr. Bala said my father’s wound did not warrant a wound vac. Because of her incompetence, my father has suffered a great setback.
