Run from Van Buren apartments!! Less than a month after I moved in, there are swarms of termites in my bedroom!! I have had 6 huge infestations in the last 3 weeks. I have woken up twice during that time period with termites crawling on me! Van buren's management just keeps sending an exterminator out , and I am done. Each time this happens my bed and clothes are crawling with termites and requires hours of clean up and laundry. I recently moved into this apartment and have had a great experience so far. The apartment is clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the move-in process was very smooth. Lily has been especially helpful with my settling in. Since I’m new to the area, she kindly recommended useful local resources and made the whole transition much easier. Other than the fact that the application process was fast, I do not recommend living here. Since the signing of my lease, I had asked at least twice to try to get the mold cleaned in my shower (once during move-in inspection and once over the phone). Both times I was told the mold was a "cosmetic" issue. Only got maintenance to "fix" it when I gave them photos of the issue on their resident site. Maintenance did not remove the original moldy caulking and simply put new caulking over it, which I will have to remove so it does... read more
Edited to add: since posting this review the company has retaliated in the form of threatening eviction. Do not rent from this company, they are malicious and petty. They also removed their response to this post where they lied about our numerous repair requests. Edit 2: they re-published the comment. Still not accurate and they do not answer inquiries.
