Just had a colonoscopy in the GI lab at Bay Pines VA hospital. I have to say the experience was fantastic. Everyone was exceptionally friendly, informative and punctual. The doctors, nurses, techs and let’s not forget the nurse anesthetists were great. It couldn’t have been a better experience.
I've been a patient 20 plus years. God has provided me with the same excellent (bar none) primary Doctor (Augustines) the entire time I've been a patient. All my care, tests, specialists, are all done here. If they're overbooked to far in the future community care gets me in somewhere in the community ASAP. All the employees treat me with respect and dignity. I'd rate it a 10 if I could.

The reason I have given such a low mark is because I feel like the Advance Care department is prejudice. My Dad is supposed to have 13 hours of service since the 28th of October and it is November 20, 2025 and he still has not gotten the caregiver hours that he has been approved for. I thought it was the caregiver service at first until I called them and found out that they had not received the orders yet from the Caregiver Coordinator Ms. Bonnie as of yet, I have called to speak with Ms. Bonnie over and over about the issue... read more
