Had coupon on phone was told did not need to see it would be brought up in computer three people later girl with nasty attitude told her I wanted coupon price or it wasn't interested did the oil change and then told me that my price was three times more than what the coupon was did not want to hear anything I was a regular customer spent a lot of money as well as friends and relatives that I recommended go there they lost me and a few other customers because of the incident that happened the other day. I called Valvoline Instant Oil Change (Bentonville, AR) yesterday and spoke with Tyler about an oil change and fuel filter for my Ford Super Duty. His quote was over $100 less than the dealer, so I planned to come in. Today I pulled into the bay and was greeted by CC, who checked me in. The price she gave was closer to the dealer’s. The team was absolutely wonderful! They explained options and reasoning for recommendations (or not) with proficiency and without any pushiness. Additionally, they executed efficiently with a generally great mood which can go a long way in making it a pleasant experience.
It felt like the techs were using a shame tactic to try and upsell me on services like filter changes etc. I brought my own oil. Thankfully I asked them to give me the remainder in the bottle after they had changed the oil for me, because when I got home I realized that they had put in a quart too little. The oil change took much longer than they advertised and it wasn't done properly.
