It was a pleasant experience where I didn't feel like I was fighting to refuse extras but able to discuss the oil change easily. The mechanic was able to walk me through everything without pushing me. I'll definitely return for my next oil change.
I felt pressured to buy an air filter. My car is computerized and let me know my air filter was okay. The technician kept standing there picking at my air filter almost pulling it apart to get me to buy the new one. Fast forward to the next day my check engine light came on with the code bank 1 too lean. My air filter casing was left loose. 2 screws were not tightened down allowing more air to enter my engine causing my light to come on. We had a horrible experience here at Valvoline in London, KY. First of all, they just started replacing things without even asking (cabin air carbon filter) and then we had a $60 added expense for a part that is $15 at any other automotive store. Then once we got to our destination, we realized that the workers forgot to put back our caps on the tire valve stems. When we go in asking for an oil change, that should be what we get. They should not pressure you to add other things or add things without our consent.
