Really average service. I've had insurance for 3 years now with this agency. Often times emails not returned - variety of excuses provided. Just really lackluster service -- which isn't good because isn't insurance about "service"?
Avoid this place at all costs . . . I had a tree fall on my house, and "new" roof suddenly had four holes in it. 1st Insurance said my agent was working from home (one day after a major tornado hit Valparaiso?) No return call. Person on phone, very nice, said to fix myself to so my rates wouldn't skyrocket. Left them within a week.

As a Jewish man I was absolutely appaled to walk into this business and see them proudly displaying a floor covered in swastikas. I asked about it and the female employee had the nerve to tell me it is a symbol of love. She pointed at some piece of paper I could read explaining why they refuse to remove this disgusting tile work. I didn't purchase insurance from this business due to their delight over this flooring and when I told them my grandpa was killed in the Holocaust they just laughed.
AVOID FIRST INSURANCE AT ALL COSTS !!!! I had a tree fall on my house, and my 7th month old roof suddenly had four holes knocked into it. I called for help, and was told by 1st Insurance my agent was working from home (one day after a low grade tornado damaged over 1000 homes in NW IN damaged -- great job if you can get it . . . ) No call from Valparaiso First Insurance, but person in office advised any type of filing might raise the price of my insurance, so to fix it myself if at all possible.
