I brought my truck in for a smog inspection; the vehicle has JBA shorty headers which Valley Smog said were illegal for my vehicle year and that I had installed an illegal catalytic converter. The facts were that the catalytic converter was the original catalytic that came with the vehicle and the JBL shorty headers were CARB legal for that year of vehicle. For having this be a State Approved Shop through the State of California, this is one of the lousiest places i have ever taken my vehicle! I brought my car in to be evaluated b/c it would not pass smog test, and instead of getting some helpful recommendations, they told me they would need an extra 2-3 hours to troubleshoot the problems with the codes that came up on the diagnostic machine.
