The front desk employees are not friendly, can’t smile and overall unpleasant. The doctor my husband saw was Wahaj Ahmed, while we were talking with him, he could not and wouldn’t look you in the eye. We don’t trust a doctor who acts like that. Then he was trying to tell us that the equipment my husband had been using for over 14 years isn’t any good for him. Why change something that is working to go with something else. Dr Sahni is great! Unfortunately, the logistics of working through Valley Sleep Center is absolutely awful and almost unworkable! When you send a message through the patient portal to the doctor, it goes through some type of an administrative assistant first. So frequently the doctor never even sees it. But a bigger problem is that the new improved updated patient portal will not even load on my machine. Yes, I'm fairly technically Savvy and it even tried different browsers. I initially went to Valley Sleep Center in Glendale to get a sleep study done. From start to finish, the entire process was seamless. The staff was professional and made everything easy to navigate. Even after being on CPAP, I continued to struggle with excessive daytime sleepiness that was affecting my ability to function. Very unprofessional. The doctor didn’t even know how an apnea alarm on a cardiac monitor worked to detect sleep apnea. I walked out of initial appointment after being frustrated by insipid questions and patronizing demeanor. Staff didn’t even know how to refund my co-pay!
EXCELLENT would give 10/5 stars if I could. Staff is incredible at working with my schedule, answering my million questions, and are prompt in responding. I’ve been dealing with health issues that have been puzzling doctors for years and I finally got answers here. JoAnn is truly a godsend. I’ve never had a medical professional advocate for me in the way she has in order to get me the care I need.
