We celebrated the wedding of our grandson at our WV mountain property this past September. Contracting with Valley Pig Pickin was one of the best decisions we could have made. From the very first contact right up to the end of the event, Josh worked with us and made sure we had everything we needed. Valley Pig Pickin' catered out wedding a week ago, and it was AMAZING! Our guests raved about the food and many said it was the best BBQ they had ever had. We did the whole hog, brisket, mac and cheese, salad, cornbread, beans, and crudites and stuffed mushrooms for appetizers. We recently had Valley Pig Pickin' cater our annual fundraiser, and WOW—what an incredible experience! From start to finish, Josh was professional, friendly, and beyond accommodating. But the real star? The food. Every single guest raved about how delicious the barbecue was—tender, smoky, and full of flavor. Josh and Meredith knocked it out of the park at our wedding in May 2025! We selected the whole hog and several sides. The food was ready perfectly on time after a whole day of smoking and I had many guests coming up to us telling us that it was some of the best wedding food they've ever eaten. Hire them! Hands down, some of the best smoked meat we’ve ever had! They catered our wedding over the weekend and everything was delicious! So many of our guests asked where the food was from and we also heard many say it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding.
