I got to stay here after the seriously abusive environment I was saved from. Yeah, as One of maybe two Black kids there in 1988 it was a life saver. No Black staff, but I was nit treated differently from other kids. The kids were what I really had to worry about. I was a kid who was placed here in the early 2000's. The staff did nothing to help me and didn't help get any treatment for our trauma. Other kids there will bully you or ostracize you and the staff are constantly watching you to make sure you're not going to have a mental breakdown to hurt yourself. It was cold, unwelcoming, and didn't teach me anything about being an adult. Those kids in there deserve much more than what this place offers. I lived in the old valley of the moon from 7 age to 9 years old and got in a foster home and group homes after foster care, I miss everyone I know I messed up in the years but, I don’t miss that much but the fun events on the property! But if anyone finds me I’m willing to meet up and talk about more about the valley of moon. Thanks,

I grew up in this place. It’s run by a point system you have to earn. When I got there I was barely functioning as I had almost just died. No one even realized I was still hallucinating after having been in the hospital and almost dying. I was 5 I had been in a coma. I spent years here. The school is next to a juvenile hall they make you fear it. There is no separation to the ages in the school it’s disgusting

Horrible place my sons butt was raw , he has RSV and was sent to hospital 4 times in there care in one week. 3 for constipation being so bad his stomach was rock hard , and urine was brown. They gave my son with diarrhea laxatives several times a day. Most like to get hazardous pay and over time for the hospital trips. Then didn’t administer the medication from ER for RSV.
