This park is an easy drive from Vegas and don't think it gets enough credit. Beautiful vistas. It was our first stop on a national park road trip with 2 young children and it gave them a taste of what lay ahead. they really enjoyed the little trek we took into some of the larger rock formations.

It's a little place to experience a little bit of Arizona/ Utah adventure. It has small canyons and canyon walls, Pteroglyphs, pink or red sand dunes, sandstone formations, small natural stone arches, red rocks and little hoodos or odd shaped rocks. It has a little of " The Wave " sandstone experience like in Utah/ Arizona border. Here they call it Firewave, so if you're not lucky to win the lottery to get access to the Wave then this is an alternate. It's a beautiful park and it's less crowded too.
