About this business

Fiery red sandstone glazed with corrugations forms the nucleus of this park which is a picturesque desert wonder. Having been a Nevada landmark since the 1930s, this state park is a startlingly insightful subject on geology, history as well as archaeology. Standing strong through hundreds of years, the park can safely be called a canvas of textured waves of red water frozen in time. Riddled with sweeping canyons and rock art which dates as far back to as 2000 years, the state park has been a shelter of the indigenous and old... read more

Valley of Fire has such beautiful sights yes so close to Las Vegas. Not a very good hiker but these trails were the perfect length. They do have som deep sand on the trails but not the whole way. Favorite hike was White Domes. We camped at the camp ground in a trailer for 2 nights and the big horn sheep walked right through the campground.

This was my second trip there with different people and I have to tell you, that if you go to Vegas, you can NOT miss going to this beautiful place. It gets very hot in the summer so best time to go is October to May. So many things to see whether you drive or stop off at the many points to pull over. Big horn sheep roaming around, other little wildlife, quiet, peaceful, awe inspiring.
