I called in on Tuesday morning with high fever, chills, headache, nausea, and severe muscle pain to receive care. I explained that I suspected anaplasmosis after a known tick exposure. I urged them that I needed doxycycline quickly while the infection is acute.. This is my primary care provider. The receptionist told me that a nurse would call me back within the same day.
