Great rehab hospital! – I've been researching rehab hospitals for my dad, and visited a friend of a friend who is a patient at Valley House. I got to meet some of the staff as well, and they all seem to be nice people. Anyway, this person said that the facilities at Valley House are exceptional. ?THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!!? Valley House Care Center They badly mistreated my mother a long term resident of 15 years. Her problems started about year and a half ago when the latest management (Gary) took over and quality of care became substandard. There are a few good, caring nurses there--but very few! Staff often ignores patients, and I have often had to call them (after 10pm!), and request them to put my mother to bed (because they ignore her request and the stated 8pm time given for the past 15years). They do have several good people working there, but the overall attitude to the patient's care can be much better... Incorrect information was given to me at the time I was making my decision on where to place my mom, and then I was given few days notice to take her home, without sufficient time to arrange her care at home and without any help from their social services case worker.
