Nurse told my brother she had other patients to visit while my mom was actively dying and left. Valley offered no chaplain, no nurse, no social worker in our time of need. I called the office and was told everyone was on leave. I was left with my mom alone for six hours before she passed, alone with no support despite Medicare being billed. The whole Hospice team are fantastic they are all so kind, caring, helpful, patient & knowledgeable! My Husband was in a Nursing Home on Hospice for several years & passed away almost 3 years ago & Valley Hospice team were wonderful to him & my family!
If I could give Valley Home Hospice zero stars I would. It was horrible. The family should be focused on their loved one getting professional nursing comfort/support, sharing final fleeting precious moments, and grief, not having to become the "nurse" as well. No one informed us of options outside the home; no one returned my call for an intake evaluation when I was proactive. The social worker, albeit lovely, had a meeting with us on day four.
