My father is an extremely medically fragile and medically complex patient. During his hospitalization at Valley, we experienced several serious patient-safety concerns that were deeply upsetting. The level of professionalism between Valley compared to Hackensack emergency rooms cannot be quantified. Avoid Valley at all costs. The level of incompetency cannot be overstated. This is not an exaggeration. Go to a real hospital.
Pharmacist Mary Melengic Minas is incredibly rude and the way that she talks to people is absolutely terrible. Everything else about Valley Hospital is great though. 5 stars for Valley Hospital and zero stars for Pharmacist Mary Melengic Minas.
New hospital but very bad waiting time….we are in the room for hours and no doctor showed up…
Everything about this hospital is incredible. Private rooms, quiet, clean, and a level of care and intelligence that exceeds any hospital in Bergen County. The level of patient care and consideration for my dad and for the family during my father’s final days was unlike anything I have ever seen. I cannot thank the staff of this hospital enough.
