Great Personal care of me
I spent forty years dealing with physicians in my career, and I can say that Richard Lucanie is extremely knowledgeable. Having treated so many patients over the years, he has seen everything in ailments and illnesses; he is current with new developments in medicine with particular expertise in gerontology. Have been looking for a new doc for a while & was recommended to Dr Hewitt. Called for an appointment and was lucky enough to get one quickly due to a cancellation. I was hesitant to take the spot since I had to be somewhere else later that evening. But the staff told me it shouldn’t take more than an hour. I have been a patient of Dr. Richard Lucanie for more than 20 years and he's great. He always has time for his patients and is a good listener. He saved my life by suspecting I had prostate cancer during a routine yearly exam. He referred me to a urologist who removed my prostate just before it spread. This was 16 years ago. I wouldn't go to anyone else. I highly recommend.

I have been coming for years and have had appointments with all the Doctors at one time or another and when I was ill, a Doctor from VDMC always made a point to visit me daily and keep me inform of my care and what to expect next.
