My waiting time was just a few minutes. It was early evening during the week. The nurse and staff were professional. They did their job well. They found a mass that obviously was there for decades. They emphasized the importance of a follow up to make sure this wasn't cancer. I did and I'm happy to report that the mass has been removed and was not cancerous. Thank you Jesus. Thank you Valley Baptist emergency Center.
Very quick to be seen. Nurses asked before giving our daughter anything. Answered our questions. Very clean environment .
The ER is not busy. Maximum 3 people in front of me. Yet they could not be bothered in the entire 2 hrs that I was waiting to supply even a small portable bottle of oxygen for decompression sickness. The ladies at the desk are drinking coffees and chatting with each other. They did not know what decompression sickness is. Not even the LVN. This is extremely concerning as the known emergency protocol for decompression sickness, even with “mild” symptoms, is immediate 100% O2 ASAP.
