Fool me twice... My father recently passed, some the greatest memories I have of him are centered around his boat. which I am happy to have it to help retain some of those memories. Followup on Previous Complaint As a followup comment, BBB. Case # 75145305 was filed regarding the problems I had. I took the boat to another company (Antique Outboards) and had them fix the boat. They found that when Valentines replaced my wire harness the tach was wired to the alternator. Since the older tachs are not wired that way, it burned out the tach.The main problem (accelerating under load) was discovered to be a problem with the pulse line hose missing a clamp. Response to "Deceiving Sales Practice" I apologize that you had a poor experience with our business. We did offer to repair the problem, however, were not given the chance to. We never misrepresent any product we sell. The statement of "No Warranty" was on your contract, in writing. We have been in business for over 27 years. This is the only complaint we have received. Check our Better Business Bureau account as well. It was simply a misunderstanding.
customer service I have taken my boat here several times over the summer and have had great customer service. They are very friendly and honest, did not try to over quote me. Work was fast and fairly inexpensive. Would definately recommend them to any of my family and friends
Deceiving Sales Practice We purchased a boat from Valentine's Marine last year which they represented as being in good mechanical condition as well as still had a 2 yr manufacturer warranty. As it turned out the boat had a major problem with the engine and then we were informed that there was no warranty. They lied and deceived us into purchasing the boat and now will not stand behind what they told us.
