The doctor was professional, but he didn't spend very long to talk to me about my concerns. The appointment felt rushed despite the not-crowded waiting room and short wait time. I did have some issues with my insurance and my legal name change though, as despite me explaining my old insurance was no longer used or accurate, and that my legal name is not the one they had down, they still had my profile under my old name. I will not be going back to Dr. Almendarez. He is fired! The more I think about my last appointment with him the more miffed i get! He didn't really seem to take me seriously. I had extremely heavy bleeding with large clots for over 24 hours. My BP was down to 88/60 at my appointment. He was not alarmed. He said I had endometriosis. Endometriosis has never been mentioned to me before. He said my women's multivitamin has estrogen in it and that's what is "feeding" the endometriosis. Let me start with saying the office is very clean and the staff is friendly and nice . The doctor is pretty short and quick just ask how you’re feeling and boom he’s done . Never a sit down and go over things and conversant. You basically get treated like another patient. I just felt so unwanted as a patient. The staff would answer the phone on a good day . I did blood work over a month ago never received the results. I paid 20 dollars for them to fill out FMLA paper work just for them to call me back and tell me they only g... read more
Have seen Dr.Almendarez for over 20 yrs now. He has treated me with respect, compassion and professional courtesy the entire time. The level of care I have received has not changed base on my age, marital status, insurance type or any other variable that enviably changes with time. A bonus for me is he rarely runs behind schedule!
Horrible Experience… I am a high risk patient (I’ve loss three babies in 1 year) and this clinic was horrible with this knowledge. My 1st appointment was like 10 seconds because my pregnant Medicaid was pending. So then my Medicaid got approved but it was the wrong provider.
