We had a great trip in a great house. Two weeks after we are home my credit card is charged $150 for ruining a comforter on one of the beds. The claim, made by Facilities Manager ***********************, was that we used the bed as an ironing board and burned a hole in the comforter. He even had a picture. The charge to my account and the email with the picture was two weeks after our stay so I dont know how we can be blamed for it. I am not surprised at all of the ZERO STAR reviews of this Company. We have stayed at the same house for 2 straight years at a cost of over $40,000. Although the house has not been updated, it is located right on the beach with a pool etc. This year we had more problems than before (delayed entry, constant interferences, blood on sheets, rotting outdoor furniture, delay in cleaning pool, defective bikes), but all in all we had a good time. If I could leave zero stars I would. This firm is run by crooks to put it kindly. And if you read the reviews, we’re not the only family that would say this... Our large family rented a house for the holidays months ago-we were all to fly in from various US cities in late December and stay in HH at our rented house. My dad has Guillain-Barre and had a collapsed lung a few years back. With the pandemic reaching a peak, we asked if we could please move our dates. He was told not to travel. Zero stars, even negative stars, if I could. This company treated my family horribly when we asked if we could postpone our 7 day vacation from this past 4th of July to 2021, like most hotels, Airbnb's, etc. were rightly doing for people during the pandemic. These people at VHHH are real estate brokers/agents. I am an agent myself and if I treated my clients like this, which of course I would never do, I’d be out of business by now. Vacation Homes of Hilton Head rented new a villa for May of 2020. Due to covid, I asked for a refund or to move the dates. They moved the date to September. I reached out and asked them for a refund because I am traveling with a family member who is immunocompromised and has been advised not to travel due to the current pandemic. This guest signed our rental contract which clearly outlines our cancelation policy and purchased travel insurance. This company was terrible with how they treated customers during the pandemic. They refused to give us a refund, even though most others from Hilton Head did. We were from New York and couldn't travel to South Carolina during spring break as originally planned. In our house rental we had 2 that had taken pay cuts, one that was laid off completely and one that worked on the front lines along with 6 children. I have used this company for several years and have always had a pleasant experience. The staff is knowledge and always very friendly. I have recommend them to my friends and family who are looking for vacation on Hilton Head.

During this pandemic they are not refunding peoples cancelation and are offering credits for next year and then raising the price of the rental by almost double if not double the price of the original rental . Do not rent from them !
