We had an experience where the home had a bunch of flying ants. The first day we saw a few but it's in the woods so we didn't worry too much the next day I let the rental company know they said they couldn't do anything for three days. By the time we were ready for bed the ants were everywhere. On our pillows drinks and even in my husbands CPAP mask. What a nightmare of a company that could care less about customer service. They rented my home for $93 a night when my minimum rate was $235!!! Going rate is about $300 a night & they did this to me in peak season! I read reviews online & ex-employees said they aren’t surprised what they did and how much worse it got after they went public. On our Next door app I posted asking neighbors if they have used them & one lady said that they have a bad reputation & had money problems. 3 weeks ahead of our vacation and this cruel company won’t let us res he file or cancel to attend the funeral of a family member. Way to make a buck.
Some friends and I rented a house managed by VACASA in Frisco, Co., through booking.com for five days, 01/30/25 - 02/04/25. In less than an hour, I asked to change houses because I had confirmation that more friends were coming and the house would be too small for everyone. I made the change request several times through booking.com and also directly with VACASA, and it was denied.
