Updated: We did try to contact Vacasa numerous times. There is no way to contact the headquarters, hence the review being our only avenue to complain and share our bad experience. We left expensive hair tools in the home we rented and they were not returned to us. The local team admitted to finding them the day we moved out and then after 4 months of communication about getting them back, said they were not there. Someone stole our items. Not acceptable. Stay away from vacasa they don’t care about you or owners homes
*BUYER BEWARE* The manager of this hotel and the company Vacasa they use to manage The Washington Hotel in Port Townsend are heartless and money hungry. I’m a single mother and both my daughter and I have asthma. My daughter wanted to go whale watching and bioluminescent kayaking this summer. The closest place to whale watch is Port Townsend. This home was disgusting and dirty. Everything was broken. It smelled horrible. We left after one night and have been trying to get a refund but suddenly no one ever returns any calls, texts, or emails. I have had to dispute charges on my credit card because they refuse to even respond. Avoid at all costs. ***EDIT*** You can see the response from them below claiming someone will call me. I have already spoken to them and they refuse to refund me. Again, avoid at all costs.
Never ever book with them! Absolutely immoral crooks! Mandatory evacuations don’t mean anything to them! Other major booking companies have overriding policies for natural disasters and weather esp when it’s mandated! We had a house booked in Hattaras today and were unable to go today after driving 12 hours when the county posted the 5 pm alert and they refuse to issue refunds even partial. I will make sure everyone on social media knows how terrible this company is!
