I am so disappointed in Vacasa. I always thought I could trust any property managed by them and that I would feel safe there. I thought they had a reputation for customer service but boy was I wrong. I booked a last minute reservation at Sugar Beach condos in Orange Beach yesterday for a two week stay. When my husband and I arrived there we had to ask a renter there how to find our room. STAY AWAY FROM ANYTHING VACASA!!! Disgusting-TERRIBLE customer service! My family arrived at the condo they rented yesterday, and it was a complete trash hole! No air filters to be seen, carpet so dirty that you would not walk on it with shoes on, and the balcony doors didn't even lock! We were seeking a quiet and comfortable place to stay during our district ohset meet, and this house perfectly met our needs with its peaceful atmosphere and convenient location. We would have appreciated having curtains or blinds in the upstairs bathroom for added privacy, but otherwise, everything was ideal. This is a home my family would happily rent again for future trips.
We arrived to our air bnb managed by Vacasa to find nothing had been cleaned, dirty laundry everywhere, beer cans on the counter, filthy hot tub, blood on the floor, dog hair everywhere, etc. When I called the number posted on the door she said she couldn’t find my reservation was extremely rude and ended up hanging up on me. I called again and spoke to another agent who did find my reservation partnered with Casago. They sent a cleaner and we were finally able to access our house after 7:00pm. This company is terrible. I’ve stayed at a few other properties. The last one I stayed at was not cleaned! The bed was not made, and the trash was not emptied. After this experience, I decided to never stay at a Vacasa property. I reached out to their Privacy team and requested that they delete my account and data. They refused, saying that the state I reside in does not require Vacasa to comply with data deletion requests. This is unacceptable! I am the consumer, and I have the right to my data.
